VISION

A center of quality Catholic Benedictine Psychology education committed to the formation of Christ-centered psychology practitioners who are highly competent, ethical, effective, and efficient in fostering the well-being of the Filipino.

MISSION

To form students to become psychology practitioners imbued with Christian and Benedictine values, and psychological knowledge and skills through quality instruction, community outreach and care for the environment, research and publication.

OBJECTIVES

To develop students with strong Christian ethical and moral values, willing to explore the realms of the science of the mind and behavior in order to achieve excellence in the academic research and community service.
  1. To equip the students with basic and advanced knowledge on the different theories, principles and applications required in the day-to-day work of a professional psychology practitioners.
  2. To establish harmonious linkages and collaborations between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the Host Training Establishments (HTEs) for the effective implementation of the program to support the educational environment of the students.
  3. To train the students to become competent in the conceptual, technical and interpersonal skills needed in dealing with individuals, families, groups, and organizations, be it in the academe, various centers and institutions, as well as the community.
  4. To produce graduates who can have a better access to meaningful and gainful employment and contribute to the well-being of the Filipinos and other nationality.
COMPETENCY STANDARDS
Graduates of BS Psychology are expected to be able to:
  1. Demonstrate the capability to discuss and analyze the major theories and concepts in psychology (knowledge in psychology);
  2. Demonstrate and apply the methods of psychological inquiry in building knowledge on local culture and context (psychological research);
  3. Demonstrate and apply psychological theories and methods in personal and professional setting (application of psychology);
  4. Demonstrate capability for self-reflection and independent learning in graduate education or in a professional context (independent learning);
  5. Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors in research and practice in Psychology (ethics);
  6. Demonstrate harmonious interpersonal relationship with colleagues, clients and others (interpersonal skills) in diverse cultural setting;
  7. Demonstrate the ability to conduct psychological assessments and evaluation (psychological assessment).
