Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs, located at the ground floor of the main school building, provides services and programs designed to enhance the intellectual, spiritual, physical, social, career and leadership development of our students. SSCT Identification Cards are issued by the Office of Student Affairs.

The following offices and programs make up the student affairs services:

Office of Campus Ministry

The Office of Campus Ministry, located at the ground floor of the main school building, serves students of all faith backgrounds and supports the spiritual life of the entire SSCT campus community. Guided by the Benedictine Sisters and grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition, the Campus Ministry provides opportunities for prayer, dialogue, reflection, and service in an effort to foster the integration of students’ spiritual, personal, and academic development. Campus Ministry forms the faith community through liturgies and Sacraments, prayer and retreats, small groups, service experiences, social justice education, and ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. Staff members are available for one-time or ongoing pastoral conversations and spiritual direction.

SSCT Student Safety and Security

The SSCT Student Safety and Security is located in the ground floor of the main school building inside the administration office. Officers are always ready to assist the students with issues regarding the SSCT parking system, criminal investigations, emergency management, as well as all aspects of personal safety. Our SSCT Student Safety and Security believe in teaching our students how to keep safe while on the SSCT campus, when they are off-campus, and when they graduate from the College.

SSCT School Medical and Dental Services

The SSCT Medical and Dental Clinic, located on the ground floor of the main school building, creates and promotes health and wellness programs aside from the medical and dental services they offer. It creates and implements programs for students, faculty, and staff to raise awareness about health and wellness issues pertaining to the SSCT community. Health Promotion and Wellness programs educate the campus and encourage healthy lifestyle choices to obtain an optimum state of well-being. Programs include topics such as stress relief, fitness, nutrition, men’s and women’s health issues, and alcohol awareness.

Student Scholarship and Financial Support

Visit the Student Affairs Office and the Registrar’s Office for availability and more information about scholarships, grants, and student loans. Staff are available to answer your questions about the requirements and how to complete the application.

SSCT GIYA and Wellness Center

The SSCT GIYA and Wellness Center is an arm of service led by the Psychology Department. It aims to provide the following services to our students:

Student Success Program - Offers students short and long-term college success strategic planning, advice on on-campus resources available to meet your needs, and assistance to those struggling academically.

Academic Advising - Provides undergraduate students with academic support and guidance as they explore their natural talents and develop academic and career goals. The Advising program assists undergraduate students with a wide array of academic services including degree planning, course selection, and scheduling, choosing and declaring a major, understanding the core, choosing a minor, developing skills for academic success, and general academic support. All undergraduate students have access to Academic Advising, and students are encouraged to utilize the Advising services in addition to their faculty advisors.

Career Services - The Career Services works with students on all areas of career development, ranging from choosing a major to preparing a job search to assist alumni with career transitions. Career Services helps students with resume and letter development, conducts mock interviews, and provides career assessments for those wanting to learn more about themselves in order to make a wise career decision. In addition, the staff conducts workshops and sponsors several job fairs and other events throughout the year. Students can connect to learn about internships, on-campus jobs, part-time and full-time jobs. faculty advisors.

Counselling and Disability Services - The Counselling and Disability Services offers confidential counseling services to students at no additional cost. Services include personal counseling and consultation, group counseling, crisis intervention, community resources and referrals, educational workshops, and mental health and wellness programs. The department also provides disability services for students who may need academic accommodations and support for learning disabilities, health impairments, physical limitations, and psychiatric conditions. Services are typically by appointment; same-day appointments may be available for urgent concerns. This is to ensure that students with disabilities are able to access and participate in the opportunities available in the College.

Registrar's Office

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for our student admissions and registration to the College, grade reporting, and transcript of records. Visit the Office of the Registrar that is located just beside the entrance of Gate 2 of the main school building if you need to add or drop a class, file for graduation, request a transcript, change your major, and/or add a minor subject.

Business Office

The SSCT Business Office is the centralized billing and collection point for all student accounts. Visit the Business Office, located just beside the Office of the Registrar at the ground floor of the main school building and near the Gate 2 entrance of the building, to pay your tuition, set up a payment plan, pick up a refund check, or book voucher, and pay for your official dues.

SSCT Cafeteria and Dining

The SSCT Cafeteria and Dining offers traditional and home-cooked Filipino and Waraynon cuisine, and other native delicacies that are prepared and available from the region.

Library Services

The SSCT Library located on the 2nd floor of the main building is the main College library. The College Library provides assistance to our students in the use of books, online resources and other collections.

STUDENT COUNCIL

An organization that consists of student leaders elected body. Its governance is characterized by fidelity to Benedictine values and promotion of student welfare.

The Student Body President serves as the chief executive officer of the Student Organization. The Student Body President is in-charge of hosting public forums, cultivating awareness of student needs and concerns to administration, and promoting and supporting student events and activities.

SCHOLASTICAN PSALTERIUM

Provides an opportunity for the musically inclined students to harness their talents and potential in chorale music. It serves as the choir of the college.

SSCT PEER COUNSELORS CIRCLE

A friendly and mutually enhancing student organization that is based on volunteerism. They are a group of students who have undergone the peer counselor’s training and are dedicated to assisting their fellow students in their adjustment to college life thru peer counseling.

ST. SCHOLASTICA’S EMERGENCY RESCUE TEAM

An organization that consists of students who are trained to deal with the emergency situation within the campus and even outside the community. Renders first aid measures to employees and students. Its main goal is to assist the students with their needs in order to maintain optimum wellness for each and every one.

ST. SCHOLASTICA’S SPORTS AND THEATER ARTS CLUB

An organization that enhances the skills and abilities of students and improves self-esteem and self-confidence in the field of sports and theatre arts.

CON CO-CURRICULAR/ACADEMIC ORGANIZATION:
  • PHILIPPINE STUDENT NURSES ASSOCIATION (PSNA)

PSNA is an academic organization established to promote the holistic welfare of student nurses and to prepare them to be globally-competitive nurses; creating a paternalistic environment for the promotion of growth and solidarity among its members. Its main objective is to foster rapport, goodwill, and an active relationship between the nursing students in the different schools and their professional counterparts as well as members of the allied profession in the health services.

Student Publication

SSCT SULHOG/BINHI PUBLICATION serves as the voice of student concerns, as well as a vehicle for information important to SSCT students and the school community.

Maintenance Office

Responsible and accountable for maintenance operations of SSCT. It is responsible for the way equipment runs and looks and for the costs to achieve the required level of performance. They are in charge in handling basic repairs and maintenance, overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary, diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them and does repairs on machines used at SSCT, equipment, or structures as necessary.
